  1. Sri Lanka should send more people of his caliber as our country’s Representative, without sending political stooges. He started his working life in my time as a Trainee Executive at Whittall Bousteads, then moved to George Steuarts, where he ended up as Chairman .A brilliant guy, top sportsman, .and a gentleman to his fingertips. In retirement, he bought a house in Diyatalawa and lived there till his appointment as ourHigh Commissioner to Australia. In his sojourn in Diyatalawa he helped so many poor people and even educated their children . He was a popular figure there and every evening he used to walk about four kms a day, talking to people on the way. The people of Diyatalawa are missing him. I am very proud of him.
